Special TV programs to be aired on national reunification day

Vietnam Television will broadcast many special TV programs celebrating the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30).

 A live link-up television program called the first spring offering a comprehensive view of the country’s changes and Vietnamese people over the past 40 years was organized in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on April 27.

The program was to tribute to martyrs and wounded soldiers. Audiences had opportunity to meet with historical witnesses during wartime, such as General Le Duc Anh, Patrick Chauvel - a French photo journalist working in Vietnam during the Vietnam Wars.

In addition, a talk show titled “The April’s moment” will be aired on VTV1 channel on April 29.

The VTV4 channel will present viewers special programs and documentary films on April 30.

Ceremonies marking the 40th anniversary of Southern liberation and national reunification day in Quang Tri Province on April 28 and in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30 will also be broadcast live on VTV1 and VTV4 channels starting from 6 a.m.
