Thai film festival to be held in HCM City

A Thai film festival celebrating the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations will be held in CGV Vivo City in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7 from September 30 to October 2.

Films, such as Look Thung Singature (Melody of the Heart), Love H20 (Love Expert) and Ladda Land (The Mysterious Village) will be screened during the event.

The film fest aims to give a deep understanding between peoples of the two countries and promote Thai movie industry to Vietnamese audiences.

Thai director Kittikorn Liasirikun, actress Rattanarat Aurthaveekul and actor Ananda Everingham will attend the opening ceremony of the festival on September 30.

The event is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi and Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City.
