Tran Ngoc Lan Khue crowns at 2015 Miss Ao dai Vietnam

Tran Ngoc Lan Khue won the Miss Ao dai Vietnam contest – The Way to Miss World Crown beauty contest which ended in Ho Chi Minh City on January 5.

Lan Khue, 23, which is a German-major student of HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is 1.76m tall and 52kg.

Model Lan Khue is one of the country’s most outstanding models. She had won the third prize in the Asian Supermodel contest in 2012 in China and the Golden Award for Vietnam Model in 2013. Lan Khue will be the country's representative at Miss World 2015

Pham Hong Thuy Van from Ho Chi Minh City was the first runner-up. Van will Miss International Beauty Pageant 2015.

The second runner-up went to Nguyen Thi Le Quyen of Bac Lieu Province. Quyen won the Talent title at the Vietnam Model in 2013. She will represent Vietnam at the Miss Supranational beauty pageant 2015.

The organization board also awarded minor titles, including “Audience Choice Awards” to Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen, “Best Body” to Pham Hong Thuy Van and “Be confident to shine” to Tran Ngoc Lan Khue.

Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos was invited to act as a judge at the coronation night of Miss Ao dai Vietnam – The Way to Miss World Crown. The Venezuelan beauty along with local judges actress Truong Ngoc Anh and movie director Nguyen Quang Dung, chose the winner based on national costume, swimwear, and evening gown and Q&A challenges.

Miss Ao dai Vietnam – The Way to Miss World Crown was held by Vietnam Television (VTV) and HCMC-based BHD Company. The contest which is the first beauty contest is organized in the format of a reality show to look for the best three to compete at three international beauty contests – Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational. Contestants spent 75 days for training workshops on communication, fitness, makeup, style, and etiquettes by leading experts, and competed with each other.
