Japanese-style bridge -the symbol of Hoi An

From August 5 to 7, in the ancient town of Hoi An, Viet Nam’s world cultural heritage, the fourth “Viet Nam – Japan Cultural Exchange Days” will take place with many cultural and sport activities and scientific workshops, which are laden with the traditional identities of the two countries in general and Hoi An town in particular.

In the evening of August 5, the festival officially started and attracted thousands of local and foreign tourists and Vietnamese and Japanese organizations.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hoi An People’s Committee Le Van Giang said the cooperative relations between Viet Nam and Japan, Hoi An and Japanese organizations were established many centuries ago at Hoi An international port and will continuously be strengthened in the new era.

Viet Nam – Japan friendship and cooperation have brought practical results in terms of scientific research, restoration of historic sites, scientific workshops and cultural exchanges.

The festival is a vivid demonstration of the bilateral friendly and stable relations for the conservation and development of Hoi An’s cultural heritages in particular and Quang Nam’s people and land in general.

Coming to Hoi An on these days, tourists will have a chance to enjoy many activities introducing cultural features of Viet Nam and Japan, or the seminars on the restoration of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary.
