Vietnamese dancers perform a folk dance of Japan at the Youth Cultural House of Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday
Thousands of young people flocked to a Viet Nam-Japan cultural exchange at the Youth Cultural House of Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.
For the Vietnamese youth who attended, the event let them discover what daily life was like for a Japanese person, while the Japanese expatriates who went along learned more about Vietnamese habits, customs and beliefs.
The warm and friendly atmosphere was enhanced by the singing of many of the two lands’ folk songs.
The event was arranged by Youth House, the Japanese General Consulate and the Viet Nam-Japan Friendship Association to mark 33 years of diplomatic relations.
At the moment there are around 2,000 Japanese citizens living and working in Ho Chi Minh City.
