A photo contest titled “Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards’ has just been launched for local and foreign photographers living in the country, aged 18 and above.
The contest aims to mark Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23 and calls on people to promote and preserve the cultural and natural heritage of Vietnam.
Participants can send their colorful or black and white single photos or a collection in JPEG file, not exceeding 3MB to firstname.lastname@example.org, or Vietnam Heritage Magazine at 15A/28 Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1, or the office of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association on 2 Nguyen Binh Khiem Street in District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City before deadline of October 1.
Each submission must contain caption, venue, characters, title of work and name of the photographer and a brief description of the photo.
The awards ceremony will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 22. The winning entries will be displayed in Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiey, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Ha Long, Hanoi and Can Tho in October and November.
The contest jury includes Le Thanh Hai, editor-in-chief of Vietnam Heritage Magazine; photographer Dao Hoa Nu; photo-journalist Nguyen Ba Han; Andrew James Gordon, editor of Vietnam Heritage Magazine and Meritorious Artist Tran My Ha, director of HCMC Television Film Studios (TFS).
