Despite not receiving the highest honor at the final of Miss Supranational September 5, Vietnam once again proved its high standards in the world of beauty pageants by coming in the Top 15.
The Vietnamese representative, Chung Thuc Quyen, had an impressive performance with the other 24 finalists at the pageant held in Plock, Poland.
Before the show began, Quyen had said she was fully-energized and confident to give her best performance so far.
The model also won the title Miss Internet after receiving the most number of online votes via the pageant’s website.
Talking about the result, Quyen said that she was quite pleased with the result but still regretted that she not could bring the crown home.
She did not feel as much pressure as she could have done, thanks to the earlier success of a colleague and model, Vu Thi Hoang Diep, at Miss International Beauty, as it helped her present “a confident and impressive appearance at the pageant.”
Quyen will leave Plock very soon to return to Vietnam, having pocketed three awards, Miss Internet, Best National Dress and Top 15 certificate of merit.
Miss Supranational 2009 went to Miss Ukraine, Oksana Moria.
