Vietnamese Stamp Collection Wins International Prize

A set of Vietnamese postage stamps highlighting 54 ethic groups in the country has been chosen as one of the most beautiful foreign series at the 5th International Beautiful Stamp Competition in China.

The stamps have also set several records in the history of Vietnamese postage stamps including the longest time on display at the Museum of Fine Art in Ha Noi (Oct 2004 to Sep 2005), the greatest number of artists involved (20) and the highest number stamps in a block (54).

Other winners at the competition include Germany’s “Sail boat” series and Cuba’s “45th Anniversary of Cuba-China Friendship” collection.
