The event marks the 55th founding anniversary of Vietnam – Laos diplomatic ties and the 40th anniversary of signing Vietnam – Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in 2017 with the participation of 9 local provinces and cities; and 10 Laotian provinces.
The festival aims to promote potentials; key factors in cultural, sports and tourism development; national cultural heritages in the integrated development process to domestic and international friends. It is also to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the people of provinces along the borders of the two countries.
This is the second annual event, presenting a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities during the three-day long festival.
