World’s leading orchestra performs in Hanoi

The ‘Toyota Classics 2012’ featuring performances by the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Japanese guitarist Soichi Muraji and Vietnamese violinist Le Hoai Nam took place at the Hanoi Opera House on November 4.

The concert which had the participation of acclaimed Japanese guitarist Soichi Muraji and Vietnamese talented violinist Le Hoai Nam was really ‘a grand musical event’ for classical music lovers.

It brought famous repertoires of Beethoven, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky and Johann Strauss under the baton of Japanese maestro Joji Hattori to local classical music fans.

The concert, which is in its 23rd year in Asia Pacific and 15th year in Vietnam, was jointly held by Toyota Motors Vietnam. All proceeds will be donated to supporting young music talent in Vietnam.

Besides Vietnam, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra has performed in 70 countries and received tremendous applause from audiences.

Last year, Toyota Motors Vietnam organized a concert titled Toyota Concert Tour Vietnam 2011 in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.
