The floodwater rose up to 40 centimeters in Vo Van Ngan street of Thu Duc District, not only causing difficult travelling for all vehicles, but also triggering engine failure vehicles and affecting the railway.
In Binh Thanh district, two streets of Nguyen Huu Canh and Ung Van Khiem had been mostly affected by the downpour. The water level on these streets rose up to 40 centimeters causing many cars and motorbikes to move slowly.
The heavy rains also brought long- lasting flooding in some streets of Thu Duc district like Kha Van Can, National Route No. 13 (Hiep Binh Chanh Ward); and caused the traffic jam in district 7, stretching from the Nguyen Thi Thap intersection nearly to Phu Xuan bridge.
It is forecast that the heavy rain and flood tide will continue increasing in the city in June and July.
