$263,285 spent on fresh water in schools in Mekong delta

This year, the program to supply fresh water to schools in the Mekong delta provinces initiated by the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients is estimated to be VND6 billion ($263,285)

The association in coordination with Novaland Group have signed an agreement to carry out program to supply fresh water in 27 schools in Tan Tru District in Long An province.
According to the agreement, Novaland Group will give over VND2.3 billion to buy 346 water filtering machines for school. It is expected that students and teachers of 27 schools in Tan Tru District will enjoy fresh water in the new school year.
Before, the program had been run in 52 schools in Thanh Phu District in Ben Tre with 516 water filters.
At present, schools in rural areas and disadvantaged districts in the Mekong delta are facing shortage of fresh water; accordingly supplying fresh water to teachers and students is a humanitarian program.
