The Ministry of Education and Training held a ceremony Thursday extolling award-winning students for their participation in the 2006 International Olympiad in Ha Noi.

Six Vietnamese teams, made up of 31 students, entered the International Asian Physics, Math, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biology Olympiad, taking home four gold, six silver and 16 bronze medals.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Van Nhung hailed all the teams and provided certificates of merit and awards worth VND15 million each to four students: Dang Tien Duc, Tu Ngoc Ly Lan, Nguyen Duy Manh and Hoang Manh Hung.
Dang Tien Duc and Tu Ngoc Ly Lan won golden medals at the 38th International Chemistry Olympiad, while Nguyen Duy Manh and Hoang Manh Hung captured their golden medals at the 47th Intarnational Math Olympiad.
