Around 66,000 students sit for senior high school graduation exam in HCMC

In the upcoming national graduation examination for twelve graders in HCMC, 66,000 students have registered to partake in.

Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) and its member universities yesterday convened a  meeting about the coming graduation exam.

As per the exam’s admission committee,  51,125 twelve graders in HCMC will sit for examination into the Poly-technique University; the Nature Science University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Pedagogy with 15,216 candidates; 14,711 candidates; 11,703 candidates and 13,495 candidates respectively.

In addition, around 15,000 other candidates who failed last year graduation exam or who are college students and wanted to pursue further education in university are ready for the national graduation examination.

For the two academic years, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, university entrance exam was abolished. University admission committee check students' marks in high school graduation exam to receive them.
