Applicants must be US citizens and hold a position of associate professor, professor, or professor emeritus.

The program’s goal is to have Americans teaching courses in English at Vietnamese universities, either on site or by interactive, real-time videoconferencing.

The VEF was established in 2000 as an independent federal agency to promote bilateral ties through educational exchanges, both for Vietnamese nationals to pursue graduate and post-graduate studies in the US in science, engineering, mathematics, medicine, and technology and for American citizens to teach in the same fields in Vietnam.

Applications should be submitted from January 1 to March 2, 2009, at: http://application.vef.gov/usfs/
