HCMC to build 39 new schools celebrating 40th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day

The HCMC Department of Education and Training introduced some new school construction works on November 11, aiming to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation Day (30th April, 1975 and 30th April, 2015).

Ho Chi Minh City authorities will invest and build nearly 39 new school projects in the area of city, including 14 pre-primary schools, two secondary schools, one high school and 25 other construction works.

Accordingly, the projects are expected early to start construction on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Southern Liberation Day on April 30, 2015.

In addition, Department of HCMC Education and Training will strengthen mobilization under title of “Join hand towards Vietnam’s sea islands” to be able to complete three school construction works on the islands, including Song Tu Tay primary school, a pre- primary school on Ly Son Island and Con Dao secondary school with the total investment capital of VND 148 billion.

Especially, many activities also will be held in the framework of the festival “Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training develop during the past 40 years” in order to review establishment and development of City Education and Training sector.
