A performance of students
During the past 60 years for the establishment and development, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities - one of the member universities of Vietnam National University has focused on high- quality human resource training for the whole country, meeting the demand of lecturers, science staffs for universities, colleges, research institutes…
Nowadays, the University still takes the lead in standardization and integration, raising quality of graduated and postgraduate students on base of international appraisal standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Quality Assurance or Worldwide CDIO Initiative.
By 2017, it has been recognized the National Standard with six training programs of AUN Quality Assurance.
The senior university attracted students of 80 worldwide countries and territories.
Annually, it has welcomed more than 5,000 foreign students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the HCMC National University and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities sent greetings to the participants and honored 60 outstanding ex-students.
Deputy State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, ex-student of the University, expressed her pleasure at the 60 years of the University's establishment and development. On behalf of Party and State, she praised excellent achievements of teachers and students of the university during past 60 years.

Besides that, the leader stressed that the USSH needed to pay more attention to basic science majors such as history, literature, languages, Vietnamese studies …, and continue to expand educational cooperation relations with international universities.
