Ho Chi Minh City Teacher's College to Become University

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has permitted the Ho Chi Minh City Teacher's College to be renamed Saigon University and expand its campus to suit its greater prestige.

More than US $41 million will be spent on new constructions on an area of 30 hectares.

The Ministry of Education and Training has been instructed to help the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee with the feasible study of the new university.
