Launch meeting for project “Helmets for Families” takes place in primary school

AIP, the Department of Education and Training, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Safety Committee and Abbott Company joint organized a lunch meeting for a project “Helmets for Families” 2019 in Lam Van Ben Primary School in Nha Be District of Ho Chi Minh City.

This year’s Helmets for Families program, its sixth year of program, will continue provide knowledge of traffic safety to teachers, parents and students as well as gift 25,000 high quality helmets to primary schoolers and teachers.
1,292 students and teachers of Lam Van Ben School received free helmets
At the launch meeting, medical experts talked about dangers of wearing substandard helmets. Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Safety Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuong said that parents and teachers play an important role in promoting and maintaining students’ attitude towards traffic safety.
Before, in End of March, primary teachers and parents paid visits to Cho Ray Hospital where treats traffic victims suffering from severe concussion as well as listening to physicians’ advise.
This year, the project organizer will continue activities to provide knowledge of traffic safety focusing on wearing good quality helmets while driving to teaching staffs and primary schoolers in three outlying districts Nha Be, Cu Chi and Hoc Mon.
