Over 1,100 primary students join traffic safety festival in Cu Chi District

Over 1,100 primary students of Tan Phu Trung school in Ho Chi Minh City’s Cu Chi District yesterday participated in the festival “Students with traffic safety”.

The festival is part of the project “ Good quality helmets for families " launched by the Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, the AIP Foundation and Abbott.
The project aims to encourage students and their parents to wear high quality helmets correctly.
At the festival, there are various activities including naming traffic signs, distinguishing high and poor quality helmets  to consolidate students’ knowledge of traffic safety.
Medical workers from Cho Ray hospital were invited to take part in the festival to talk about importance of correct wearing helmets on motorbikes.
In the academic year 2017-2018, the project targets to attract parents, teachers and students’ attention and increase information of traffic safety.
Over 15,000 brochures in the form of handheld fan were distributed to parents in six schools, patients and their relatives in Cho Ray hospital, Cu Chi hospital and Hoc Mon Hospital.
Along with this, six panels with message to increase information of good and poor quality helmets are installed schools and hospitals’ premises.
Additionally, in the school year, the project organizer presented nearly 4,000 high quality helmets to 876 students and their parents.
Before, meetings had been held to spread information of how to distinguish good and bad helmets to parents and how important good helmets to kids and adults .
