‘Prudential-Good Essay, Good Writing’ contest wraps up in HCM City

An award ceremony of the annual “Prudential-Good Essay, Good Writing” contest was held at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on October 19.

The HCM City contest, in its 15th edition, honored 28 award winners who are 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders from schools in the city.

Nguyen Khanh Ly of Nguyen Binh Khiem School in Nha Be District won the first prize of the 6th and 7th classes. First winner of the 8th and 9th classes was Lam Quang Quynh Anh from Le Quy Don School in District 3.

The organizer also honored 15 individuals who made outstading contribution to the development and successes of the contest during 15 years.

This year’s event attracted about 150,000 contestants of secondary school throughout the city.

The Mekong Delta “Prudential-Good Essay, Good Writing” contest has attracted more and more students every year. The competition aims to encourage literature study, reading and writing good essay  amongst students, help them to enhance their sensitivity and creativity of expression.

The contest is being co-organized by the Prudential Life insurance company in Vietnam and Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper with support from the education & training departments in the Mekong delta provinces and cities.
