Two Students Win a Shared First Prize

Huynh Kim Phong, student of High School for the Gift and Tu Ngoc Phung, student of Tran Dai Nghia High School, won a shared first prize of the “Looking for top scoring student” English Test, the test was a trial in multiple-choice format and both students scored 97/100.

The competition, financed by Viet Nam Dairy Products Company (Vinamilk), was jointly organized by Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper, Viet Nam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and HCMC Department of Education and Training.

Student Huynh Kim Phong was the only examinee who had won the first prize at English subject of 2005-2006 national best student test. He had also got the scholarship from NIT (Nanyang Technological University in Singapore) of the faculty of journalism.

Student Tu Ngoc Phung had won the first prize at English subject of 2005-2006 municipal best student test.

The competition “Looking for top scoring student” had four second-prizes which went to Pham Duc Duy (Le Hong Phong Gifted High School), Do Hai Anh (Le Quy Don High School), Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh and Tran Thi Thu Hien (High School for The Gift) at the mark of 96/100.

Three third-prizes were given to Tran Thi Ngoc Huong, Ha Pham Doan Trang (Le Hong Phong Gifted High School) and Nguyen Hoang Minh Ly (Tran Dai Nghia High School).
