Vietnam National University’s training subjects named in world top 500

Three training subjects of the Vietnam National University in Hanoi have been named in the world’s top 500-600 of the table for the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019 as per a latest announcement of education organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) - a British company specializing in education.

All the three subjects of the university belong to the Engineering & Technology area including mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering and electronics, computer science and information systems.
As well as this broad subject area ranking, rankings show the top universities in the world for the following individual Engineering & Technology subjects.
In 2019 only 1,222 schools were ranked in term of training branches. The QS World University Rankings by Subject focused on criteria of academic contribution and impacts on the society through enterprises’ assessments and H-index citations.
This year, the university has joined the ranking for the first time and its three major subjects were ranked the first position compared to its peers in Vietnam.
 Earlier in 2018, the Vietnam National University - Hanoi was the only university in Vietnam listed by the US News& World Report. It was ranked 502nd globally in Physics. Last year, the facility was listed among the 801st-1,000th group globally and 124th in Asia by QS.
