Vietnamese student wins gold medal at Skills USA competition

A Vietnamese student  won the gold medal in the field of graphic design at Skills USA National Competition in Louisville, Kentucky (eastern) in the United States.

Vang Thi Kim Tuoc studies at Riverside Community College in the United States. The winner received a cash prize of US$ 3.000 and a journey to visit Graph Expo which is a world leader of package printing and graphic design.

The competition attracted the participation of 6,000 students from US  universities and 9,000 supporters including teachers, professors, volunteers and examiners.

The organizational board equipped modern machines such as 27-inch iMac model, Heidelberg Offset Printing Machines and electronic cutting machine, making  contestants freely develop their creation.

Earlier, Kim Tuoc won a gold medal in state level concerning graphic designing to become the best student in the United States in 2015 in this field.

Currently, advertising design in Vietnam is developing, said Kim Tuoc, adding that she is ready to support Vietnamese businessmen in graphic designing after graduating from the university.

The SkillsUSA Championship is a  competitive event and a playground to showcase the best career and technical education students in the nation.
