Vietnamese students win medals at Int’l Maths Olympiad

Vietnamese students won gold, silver and bronze medals and full team was ranked the 9th  at the 53rd International Maths Olympiad held in Mar del Plata in Argentina on July 10-11, which had around 548 competitors from 100 nations and territories.

Among the winners was Dau Hai Dang, a twelfth-grade student of High School for Gifted Students of Hanoi University of Pedagogy, who received a gold medal.

Three silver medals went to Nguyen Hung Tam, a twelfth-grade student of Amsterdam High School in Hanoi; Nguyen Phuong Minh and Nguyen Ta Duy, twelfth-grade students of High School for Gifted Students of Hanoi University of Pedagogy.

Tran Hoang Bao Linh, an eleventh-grade student of High School for Gifted Students of HCMC National University; Le Quang Lam, a twelfth-grade student of Lam Son High School in Thanh Hoa Province both won bronze medals.

In the Biology Olympiad held in Singapore on July 7-16 Vietnamese students won a silver medal and three bronze medals. The result is better than one three years ago.
