VN grabs three gold, one silver in Int’l Chemistry Olympiad

Vietnamese students obtained three gold medals and one silver medal after competing with 297 their peers from 76 countries and territories.

Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training yesterday announced the Vietnamese team excellently won the medals at the 49th International Chemistry Olympiad from July 6 to July 15 in Thailand.
Vietnam and China are ranked the second with three gold medals and one silver medal.
Eleventh-grader Pham Duc Anh, twelve-grader Dinh Quang Hieu and twelve-grader Nguyen Bang Thanh Lam from Hanoi grabbed gold medals, and twelve-grader Hoang Nghia Tuyen from the central province of Nghe An won the silver.

The Ministry held a ceremony to congratulate the winning students in Noi Bai Airport today.
