VNU in HCMC gets $8.6 million annually from tech transfer

Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City gets VND200 billion ($8.6 million) from technology transfer.

From 2013 to October, 2018, the school earns VND200 billion a year averagely. The school signs contracts to provide technological science and technical services accounting for 60 percent of its earning while technology transfer and scientific consultation just make up 30 percent of the earning.
Of 414 intellectual property rights the school were registered by October, 2018; 150 were approved and half of them are patents.
