‘Vo Truong Toan Award’ conferred on 30 teachers

On November 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will confer the ‘Vo Truong Toan Award’ on 30 outstanding teachers for the year 2012.

The Department of Education and Training and Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper will jointly host the awards ceremony to confer the ‘Vo Truong Toan Award’ on 30 outstanding teachers on occasion of Teacher’s Day. The sponsor for the occasion is the Prudential Vietnam Company.

Out of 98 teachers nominated from kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, vocational schools and colleges for the 15th Vo Truong Toan Award 2012, the organizers selected 30 of the most outstanding teachers to receive the award.

The 30 award recipients will also receive a cash prize of VND20 million each, an increase of VND10 million from earlier awards.

The awards ceremony will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 18 at the City Hall and broadcast live on HTV 9 channel.
