HCMC runs 1,000 more buses for National Day

The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Operation and Management Center under the municipal Department of Transportation will increase more than 1,000 buses on the National Day (September 2).

Buses will be added to serve rising demand during the holiday on 14 routes, especially trips to popular attractions in the city such as Dam Sen Cultural Park, Suoi Tien Tourist Area, Sai Gon Zoo. Bus ticket prices on this vacation will increase by about 40 percent higher than normal days.
Meanwhile the Phuong Trang Futa Bus Lines Inc. will not increase fares on its 40 bus routes on the holiday. The company has also launched new routes from An Suong Bus Station in HCM City’s Hoc Mon District to Da Lat starting on August 21.
The local authorities has also ordered a temporary freeze on issuing permits for digging roads and pavements between August 31-September 2.
