Authorities in the southern province of Binh Duong broke the ground for a 1500-bed hospital on August 28.
The facility is located in an area of 20.355 hectare in Thu Dau Mot city of the province. The province has earmarked VND2.3 trillion (US$109 million) for the first-class hospital; VND1, 334 billion (US$63 million) for construction spending and VND479.8 billion for medical equipment.
Tran Van Nam, deputy chairman of the province People’s Committee said that the current General Hospital of the province has out of date facilities. With the increase in population and economic growth, the stage was set for advanced applied science development and healthcare demand.
