Head of the Ministry of Health's Medical Examination and Treatment Department Luong Ngoc Khue said that from August 1, test results carried out by this hospital will be accepted by another one.
Before, the Ministry of Health announced the recognition of test result will be implemented since July 1, 2017. This will be acceptable in one city or province. By 2025, it will be implemented in all medical clinics across the country.
As per the Medical Examination and Treatment Department’s statistic, around 475 million different tests are conducted annually. Moreover, the test rate increases by 10 percent a year. If the test rate is down by 1 percent with each test worth VND50,000 the country will save VND237.5 billion a year.
The recognition of test result is valid in a certain time among hospital of same quality, however, doctors still ask patients to re-take the test if necessary, said Mr. Khue.
