City needs VND 5,700bln to build three more hospitals: Proposal

Ho Chi Minh City plans to start construction three more hospitals in Thu Duc, Cu Chi and Hoc Mon districts, with total investment capital up to VND 5,700billion.

According to the city’s proposal about investment for public projects to HCMC People’s Concil, three hospitals will be built from the city’s budget and the investors will be Department of Health’s building & investment management board.

Of these, Thu Duc hospital will have a total investment capital of VND 1,915billion including 1,000 beds, 2 basements and 13 floors, aiming to help reduce overloading for current hospitals; take care local residents’ health.

The 1,000 bed Cu Chi hospital will be invested VND 1,900billion and Hoc Mon hospital with VND 1,895billion.

Three hospitals are expected to put into operation by 2021.
