Dr. Hoang Anh Dung joins Ha Tinh General Hospital

Dr. Tran Nguyen Phu, director of the General Hospital of Ha Tinh Province, announced that leading expert in kidney and pancreas transplants, Dr. Hoang Anh Dung, has joined the hospital’s medical team on March 5.

Dr. Dung graduated from the Hue Medicine University in 1980 and worked in the Operation Ward of the Quang Ngai General Hospital until he moved to Belgium in 1990 where he worked in the Viscera Transplant Center in the Erasme Hospital of ULB University.

In April 2004, he was appointed deputy chief of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Center.

Dr. Dung is highly regarded for his work in Belgium and is the inspiration for the documentary film, “Lives Revive”.

He has donated many resources for the General Hospital in Ha Tinh Province and contributed to 10 kidney transplant centers in Vietnam. He is also a mentor to Vietnamese doctors studying the field in Belgium.
