One people succumbed to the dengue and many cases of infection were reported in Hanoi, the Center of Preventive Medicine announced yesterday.

The development of the dengue disease is complicated in Hanoi. Since the beginning of the year, over 700 infection cases of dengue fever have been recorded in the capital city, an increase of 200 percent compared to the same period last year.
Scattered infection cases live in 190 communes in 26 district.

The disease claimed a live of a 19-year-old student who rented a house in Dong Da District’s Trung Liet Ward, the Central Tropical Diseases Hospital confirmed. 

The Center of Preventive Medicine and local authority have sprayed chemical to kill mosquitos and its larva as well as increased information of epidemic situation to locals and guided them on how to prevent the disease.

Dengue is a viral infection transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito. There is no specific vaccine and treatment for dengue.
