Trung said that the disease broke out at two farms in Phu Tan Commune in Chau Thanh District. It has been the 3rd outbreak in the province since the beginning of the year.

Vets have destroyed over 3,000 waterfowls. Investigation showed that farm owners have not vaccinated their poultry.

Accordingly, local authority advised people to vaccinate the chicken. Especially farmers are instructed to supervise their roaming flock of poultry during summer-fall crop. Only vaccinated poultry can travel from the provinces to the provinces.
