New Center for Reproductive Health set up in Vietnam

The Genetic Research and Reproductive Health Division of Vietnam at the National University in Ho Chi Minh City, on April 4 established the Center for Reproductive Health (CREST), which will offer the latest Invitro Fertilization Diagnostic and Treatment options.

CREST has been set up to help doctors, embryologists and medical students access basic knowledge and receive training in these latest reproduction techniques. This will also help boost the transfer of the world’s newest approach to infertility treatment to maternity hospitals in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, a survey showed that around 7.7 percent of Vietnamese couples are infertile and the country has more than one million infertile couples who need treatment. CREST will supply personnel to medical facilities and cope with other related demands.
