Six companies fined for violating food regulations

Six companies were fined a total of VND150 million (US$6,875) for violating regulations of advertising nutritional supplements, said head of Vietnam Food Administration (VFA) Nguyen Thanh Phong on June 28.

Six companies were fined a total of VND150 million (US$6,875) for violating regulations of advertising nutritional supplements, said head of Vietnam Food Administration (VFA) Nguyen Thanh Phong on June 28.

Along with the fine decisions, VFA asked the six companies to stop violations and remove illegal advertisements as well as correct false information.

The six violating companies have operated in production and trade of pharmacy and nutritional supplements. Four of them are located in Hanoi, one in northern province of Hung Yen and one in Ho Chi Minh City.
