The Territory of Taiwan's National Health Research Institute signed a US$ 300,000 pledge of support for the HCMC Pediatrics Hospital 1 (PH1).

The support is part of a project to provide PH 1 with equipment for diagnosis, research and treatment of infectious diseases of children, especially encephalitis, enterro virus 71 and hemophagocytic syndrome.
Territory of Taiwan has helped PH1 build a modern laboratory capable of doing many types of quick tests for accurate diangnosis of acute and malignant diseases which require prompt interventions.
In addition, the Territory of Taiwan's National Health Research Institute has not only trained doctors of the Pediatrics Hospital 1 but also sent its leading experts on encephalitis caused by entero virus, the death rate of which is very high in Viet Nam, to transfer the treatment technique and diagnosis.
