Vietnam confirms over 9,950 A/H1N1 cases

Additional 88 people were infected with A/H1N1 virus on October 10, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 9,956 with 23 fatalities.

According to the Department of Preventive Medicine and Environment under the Ministry of Health (MoH), more than 8,950 patients have discharged from hospital while the remaining are under treatment. All are in stable condition.

Before complicated development of the epidemic, which hit 59 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, the MoH warns that people should protect themselves and the community by well implementing preventive measures.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), by October 4, the world recorded 378,223 cases of A/H1N1, including 4,525 dealths.
