Young doctors voluntarily work in Muong Nhe District

The Ministry of Health, the Association of Young Physician and the Central Children Hospital provided free examination to local residents in the northern province of Dien Bien’s Muong Nhe District on October 16.

On a tour to Muong Nhe District’s Medical Center, Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said that she sympathized with difficulties of medical workers here, lauding staffs’ effort in treating and taking care of residents’ health condition.

Health Minister said that the district has low rate of working physicians per head of the district’s population, expressing hope that the ministry will try to support the district. Besides, she pointed out that the district medical sector should focus on resuscitation for newly born babies.

Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Association of Young Physician said that young doctors will give free-of-charge examination and medicines to around 600 residents in the district including 200 infants.

The association targets to supply free-examination and medicine to around 1 million nationwide.
