10th HCMC Party Congress elects four deputy secretaries

After five working days, the 10th congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee concluded and elected the committee’s executive board, standing board and four deputy secretaries for the tenure of 2015-2020 this morning.

During its first session last night, the 69-member executive board voted on 15 members for the standing board and four deputy secretaries including Vo Van Thuong, Nguyen Thanh Phong, Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam and Tat Thanh Cang.
 
The session also appointed Mr. Vo Van Thuong to be permanent deputy secretary of the HCMC Party Committee in the 10th tenure.
 
According to the Politburo’s assignment, Mr. Le Thanh Hai continues holding the post of the city’s Party Committee Secretary until the 12th National Party Congress.
 
Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen has been voted to be chairman of the Supervisory Commission of the 10thHCMC Party Committee. The board also selected 42 delegates to attend the 12th National Party Congress.
