The annual event has collected nearly VND2.8 billion from individuals and enterprises. The money will be donated to the HCMC’s “Fund for sport talent” and “Fund for the poor” of districts 7,8, Binh Chanh and Nha Be. Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk was launched in 2006 as an annual event by the Phu My Hung Joint Venture Company and municipal departments in response to a program for the poor launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
