Sai Gon Giai Phong Charity Concert

Scheduled one night only on December 27, the televised concert which gathers popular local singers like Cam Ly, Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Nathan Lee, Nhat Tinh Anh and many others, promises to create a fund to help disadvantaged people have a happy new year.

Among the pre-show activities, the organizers officially kicked off an auction for three lots: a silk painting entitled 'Cho Que' ('Country side market'), the autographs of ten consul generals in HCM City and two SIM cards with easy-to-remember numbers - 0933 42 1111 and 0933 42 0000. All the proceeds from the auction, scheduled to close at the end of the concert, will go to the fund. SGGP staff will use this fund to buy and personally present gifts to disadvantaged people in Central Highlands, Mekong Delta and other areas.

Along with the concert, the central branch of SGGP also visited and presented 78 gifts worth VND15.6 million ($918) to students of the Tra Van and Tra Don semi-boarding schools December 18. The donation came from the staff of Cuu Long Electricity Consulting and Development Center. After a story by SGGP reported 2,500 students in 7 highland villages of Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province, had been threatened with a shortage of food and warm clothing due to a recent landslide, the company felt moved to help.

Equatorial Charity Lunch

Following the first Christmas charity lunch on December 12, a second lunch a week later was held for 25 children from Go Vap Center for Children Protection and Nourishment.
 
The children were invited to $25 lunches at two restaurants in Equatorial – the Chit Chat. During the buffet, children also met Santa Claus, who handed out presents.
 
The buffet ended with a special gift delivery from the general manger of the Equatorial.

Legend Saigon’s Christmas Charity Trip

The board of directors and staff of Legend Saigon Hotel paid a charity trip December 11 to the Thien Phuoc Center for Children with Disability in district 8. They donated VND20 million ($1,175) and gave out Christmas presents to 68 children. Donations came from the staff and the guests of the hotel.
 
A day later the Legend visited Hoang Mai Shelter in Go Vap district, presenting VND20 million and 85 Christmas presents.
