The Ministry of Transport announced Wednesday that 11 taxi companies operating at Tan San Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City will undergo thorough inspections.
The taxi companies named are Airport, Sài Gòn Tour, Festival, Happy, Savico, Vinasun, Mai Linh, Phuong Trang, Hoang Long, Petrolimex and Vina.
Transport inspectors will focus on checking the quality of service, taxi fare meters and condition of the vehicles being used by each of these taxi companies.
Over the last ten days, transport inspectors conducted checks of 9 taxi companies in Ho Chi Minh City, and suspended operations of 2 companies for violating regulations.
