The Agro High-Tech Park management committee announced in a meeting on September 16 that the Park had already lured 14 investment projects worth VND452 billion (US$22.6 million).
The Park is located enroute to the Cu Chi Tunnels on Pham Van Coi Street in Cu Chi District, 44km North-West of Ho Chi Minh City. It is conveniently located to serve as a transit base between other provinces.
The Agro High-Tech Park took 5 years to develop, and is now attracting both domestic and foreign investments and mobilizing resources in science and high technology agricultural production.
It aims to be the cradle for high-tech information technology, research projects on productivity, acquiring, transferring and developing data in agriculture, improved application of hi-tech agricultural methods in the South and South-East regions as also in the entire country, and promoting industrialization and modernization of agriculture production in rural areas. It will also serve as a base for training for the application of advanced technology in agricultural production.
