Authority will install measurement device in petrol filling stations to check the amount of petrol in and out, Mr. Minh said at a meeting between the department of Taxation and petrol enterprises yesterday on the implementation of petrol management project
Currently, more than 500 petrol filling stations yet authority has not management strictly. State budget will get giant loss if these petrol stations utilize illegal petrol. Additionally, there will be unhealthy competition between petrol stations.
Accordingly, the project aims to trace back the origin by sealing on petrol dispensers. On the stamp, there will be the amount of petrol in and out. Inspectors can easily check receipts and some stations sell petrol to enterprises to withhold tax.
It is scheduled that sealing in petrol filling stations will be carried out all at once and Ho Chi Minh City authority can manage petrol business since September. HCMC authority will utilize software in management and penalties will be transferred to the Taxation Department.
