Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee chairman Le Hoang Quan and other leaders from various departments visited the Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Company at Quang Trung Software Park in District 9 on Saturday.
At the meeting, Nanogen’s general director and Chairman Ho Nhan said that the company had researched and produced ten types of medicines which were being sold in the market.
Of these, Pegnano medicine for the treatment of hepatitis B and C was being sold at only one third of the price compared to the imported brand.
Chairman Quan has instructed relevant departments to give the company products preference on loans and taxes. He also encouraged the company to produce more medicines at lower prices for domestic demand and gradually replace imported brands.
