City downtown to have fair, musical quarter

People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday approved the project to organize a bazaar  and  musical quarterin the city downtown.

As per the project, to develop commercial service and attract visitors in district 1, the local people’s committee proposed to hold a fair in Bach Dang Park on the Saigon River west bank and a cuisine quarter in the fair.

Administrators in district 1 said that the bazzar in the park will promote Vietnamese brand names not for good retail.

The  musical quarter is  scheduled to include  Han Thuyen and Alexandre de Rhodes streets.

Chairman Phong said that the proposal of the district 1 was a good idea and asked the district to summit the plan for the fair and musical quarter soon as they will bring excitement to the downtown areas of the city.
