City focuses on resettlement projects

At a meeting with City People's Council members voters expressed their concerns on organizing large crowds to protest the draft law on special economic zone, compensation and site clearance for urban upgrading  projects, building resettlement areas.
The delegation of HCMC People’s Council members, met with 300 voters in district 4 yesterday.
Deputy chairman of the People’s Committee of HCMC Tran Vinh Tuyen said that Ho Chi Minh City is implementing a lot of urban upgrading projects. The municipal government has particularly focused on building residential araes for resettlers.
He aksed districts’ authorities to inform resettlement andcompensation costs to people as soon.
The Deputy chairman aslo called for the people to stay calm and trust the decision of the Party and the State and should not violate any law, followed weekend protests against the draft law that would allow foreign investors to lease land in Vietnam's three Special Economic Zones (SEZs) for up to 99 years.
