City inspectors to check for corruption and wastage

Ho Chi Minh City authorities, including inspectors and officials from the Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, will monitor people’s complaints and corruption cases are looked into and resolved at the district level and at State-owned companies.

A plan on preventing corruption and squander for this year recently approved by the chairman of the city People’s Committee, Le Hoang Quan, also envisages inspectors ensuring implementation of Resolution 9 passed by the National Assembly on combating corruption and wastage.

In June the first inspections will be done in the districts of Phu Nhuan, Nha Be, and Can Gio, besides the Sai Gon Water Corporation and HCM City House Trading Company.
